Psalms 84:12  

O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

 

Trust in the Lord – be confident or sure in the Lord

As we are obedient and do what pleases the Lord we learn how to be confident in Him.

Psalms 4:5  Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

 

When we trust in the Lord He will not be ashamed and will have victory over the enemy.  Our battle is not physical but spiritual.  The Lord fights for us as we trust in Him.

 

Psalms 25:2  O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

 

We can be confident in God during times of warfare.  Our confidence is that He is a deliverer whoever loses a battle.

 

Psalms 27:3  Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

 

God will keep our mind, will, and emotions stable when we trust in Him

 

Psalms 86:2  Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

 

We can trust God even when bad news comes our way.  Our heart is set on the Word of God, which never fails nor changes.

 

Psalms 112:7  He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

 

Keeping our thoughts on God is a sign that we are trusting in Him. The mind keeps us on the right track to receive the blessings.

 

Isaiah 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
