O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Trust in the Lord – runs to for protection and confides in the Lord
We should run to God in the time of trouble – even when situations do not make sense in the natural. His goodness is what we can build our lives upon. He sees our hearts when we believe in Him no matter what comes our way.
Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
As we discover the character of God and who He is, it will become easier to trust Him.
2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
When we trust God we will be full of hope. Hope will not lead to disappointment because God is faithful.
Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Trusting in the Lord takes us beyond our natural understanding. We know that He has everything under control.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
When we trust God then we can follow Him and do good to other people. We will reap whatever we sow, and what we make happen for others God will make happen for us.
Psalms 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Proverbs 16:20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
