Psalms 32:2

Psalms 32:2

Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Imputes not iniquity – think or regard as evil or sinful

Jesus came to remove our sin through His death.  Therefore, God does not see us as sinners.  He also does not remember our sins.  We are now seen as righteous and are able to have a relationship with God.

2 Corinthians 5:19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

There is no guile – treachery, deceit, slack, slothful, fraud

Guile is words that lead to bitterness or poison. We should not speak things that are deceitful or that lead to deception or fraud.  Our mouths should be channels of life that build up and encourage others

1 Peter 3:10  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Jesus acknowledged Nathanael as a person who had no guile.  This means that his motives were pure and there was no falsehood in him.

John 1:47  Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

At the judgment seat of Christ, there will be people with no guile because they are pure in heart.   A pure heart is required in order to see God and to dwell in His presence. Our words come from whatever is in our hearts.

Revelation 14:5  And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Psalms 24:4-5  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5  He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
