Persuaded, Embraced and Confessed

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Persuaded

– To convince

Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Embraced

– To enfold in the arms, to welcome

– To take as your own and as something dear to you

Confessed

– Covenant, acknowledge

– To give thanks

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

* Salvation means deliver, health, saved

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
